new gym equipment as agreed at Cabinet in November 2025 alongside
the circa. £36m leisure investment planned at hubs in Selby,
Skipton, Whitby and Pickering.

The Director of Public Health has a duty to write an annual report, whereas the local authority’s duty is to publish it. The focus of this year’s report is on the importance of ‘getting people moving more’ and how Public Health and partners are working to provide opportunities for and access to healthy movement. The Executive committee will be asked to consider and note the report.
